This exclusive Thor idol is available through Futhark.org for a limited time during June, July, and August 2025 as part of a fundraising campaign to support the floor refinishing project at the Irminfolk Hof. 100% of proceeds go directly to this effort. Each figure is handmade in-house by members of the Irminfolk Odinist Community, cast in resin and finished in a striking faux gold tone.
The design is inspired by the Eyrarland Statue—a bronze figure dating to around the year 1000 CE, unearthed near Akureyri, Iceland. Its seated posture and form have long been associated with depictions of Thor.
Historical sources attest to the devotional use of such statuettes in the Norse world. The Hallfreðar saga recounts their presence in personal worship, and Adam of Bremen, writing in the 11th century, describes three great statues—Odin, Thor, and Freyr—enshrined at the Temple of Uppsala, central to religious rites.
