From the Publisher:

This is the second title in the RavensHalla catalog. Here is a blurb about it from 2010…….RavensHalla Arts is proud to announce that the first chapbook by Rune Gild Fellow, D Jonathan Jones, 3 Paths Through Midgard: A Rune Poem, will be released on Walpurgis, simultaneously in the US and the UK.

D Jonathan Jones is a contributing writer and reviewer for Runa Magazine. Ian Read, Rune Gild Master and Drighten of Europe, has written the foreword. Arrowyn Craban, editor of Hex Magazine, contributed to the illustrations. Award winning heathen artist Dave Hobson did design, production and layout.

3 Paths Through Midgard: A Rune Poem is a masterful work. Twenty four stanzas—each nine lines long, each line nine syllables in length—make up this singular work. A work that powerfully plumbs the depths of Runic gnosis on two levels. The first level is available to everyone who recognizes and enjoys superior poetry, the second level brings to the dedicated seeker an artistically rendered complex system of initiation…into the mysteries of Odinic wisdom.

“…join D Jonathan Jones and others in the greatest of all Great Works, hinted at best in the watchword of the Gild, Reyn til Runa, “Seek for the Mystery”.” –From the foreword by Ian Read

D Jonathan Jones was born in London, England in 1967. He was named as a Fellow within the Rune Gild in Schleswig Germany, 2005. His work has been published in Runa and elsewhere. He is the lyricist and vocalist with the band “The Lykes of Yew”.

________

The Practical reader will delight in the superior poetical take this poem offers on each of the 24 staves of the Elder Futhark. That alone is enough to ensure the future place of ‘3 Paths Through Midgard‘ in the annals of great Runic writings, but this accomplishment is far more than merely a great poem. For the ardent student will find in this work an artistically rendered complex system of initiation…into the mysteries of Oðinic wisdom!
